Balsa Slats (10)

Balsa Slats are skinny but long pieces of soft balsa wood that are useful as a toy part. You can place them in your birds foraging tray or thread them onto wire for your bird to chew. This size is also handy to peg to your birds’ cage bars (see Stainless Steel Pegs).

Each Balsa Slat measures 15cm long and roughly 10mm wide, it is 3mm thick and therefore quite easy to poke a hole in with a skewer if you want to thread the piece onto wire.
