Hida-a-Treat Forager (2 Sizes)
$18.80 – $28.90
A simple foraging toy for parrots, newly released from ‘Sweet Feet & Beak’ in a transparent design. Your bird will see the food inside the 3 separate compartments inside and needs to lift the lid to access the goodies.
Available in 2 sizes to suit a wide variety of breeds. I suggest the small for Conures to Indian Ringnecks and the large for Alexandrines to Macaws. It comes in 3 colours: purple, green and blue. A colour will be chosen at random, though you are welcome to request a specific colour in order notes.

Parrot’s Treasure Chest4.00 out of 5$23.20
This is a great, tricky foraging toy – hide treats, foot toys, pellets, fruit or vege chunks within this toy for your bird to get out.
Your clever parrot will need to turn the 2 keys the correct amount and pull them out of the ‘lock’ to allow the lid of the toy to separate from the body of the toy. The key stays attached to the toy so it doesn’t get lost and the lid and body of the toy are connected by a chain so it can open without parts going everywhere. Check out the videos of this toy in use!
The Parrot’s Treasure can be used by most breeds of parrots, however shouldn’t be given to Conures, Quakers, Caiques, Lorikeets and Indian Ringnecks until they are experienced foragers as it can be a tricky toy.
Large Bagel Swing0 out of 5$17.20
The Large Bagel Swing is just as the name suggests, a swing that is made from a large (20cm) birdy bagel. It is a great size for Cockatiels, Conures, Quakers, Lorikeets, Caiques, Indian Ringnecks, Mini-Macaws and Alexandrines. I hand-make this toy with a bagel that is 20cm in diameter, hanging from stainless steel wire with a small stainless steel quick link included.
There is a plastic pacifier, smaller birdy bagels an ‘ice chunk’ bead and a crunchy vine star for your bird to chew and explore too. All parts are safe for your bird to chew.
This toy measures 30cm tall and 20cm wide in total. The brown, layered part of the bagel is roughly 1.3cm wide, the coloured outside section is 2cm wide. The bagels come in a variety of colours which are chosen at random, unless you note your preference in the order comments.
Birdy Bagel Firecracker0 out of 5$16.20 – $16.95
The new Birdy Bagel Firecracker is a toy handmade by me to meet your small parrots’ chewing and preening desires! With a 10cm birdy bagel as the base, a dozen finger traps each held on with a birdy bagel bite and with shredded crinkly paper stuffed in the end of each bagel, it’s got plenty to chew!
The toy measures 20cm wide and 25cm tall. It is fantastic for Budgies through to Indian Ringnecks. It hangs from a stainless steel chain and comes with a hanging link, though you can choose if you’d like a nickel plated or stainless steel one. Triangle link at the base is nickel plated as I cannot source stainless steel ones.
Rings of Fortune0 out of 5$34.10
This is a time consuming, fun toy for your parrot to work with, as well as being durable and sturdy!
Fill the toy from the opening in the top then turn the top cover. Your clever parrot will need to spin each level to line up the openings so the reward falls to the treat opening at the bottom of the toy. The levels spin freely and your bird can watch their food move closer and closer until it reaches the opening.
This toy is made from tough, polycarbonate and will hold up against even the tougher beaks. It comes in clear only though you may see the old, coloured version in some videos.
Measures 16cm tall and 8cm in diameter. The whole toy, hanging on chain is 39cm long and attaches to the cage with a quick link.
The Rings of Fortune toy arrives from the manufacturer with a pear clip attaching the chain to the body of the toy. I find this unsafe as many medium and large parrots can undo these pear clips and have the potential to get their beak caught on it in play. Because of this I change the attachment to a stainless steel medium ‘O’ ring, provided by me and safely attached (closed, safe for beaks!).
Small Hanging Birdy Plunk – Pre-order Only0 out of 5$27.00
An acrylic foraging toy for dry food treats and foot toys that can be used by inexperienced and practiced foragers. To use this toy your small or medium parrot needs to pull on each of the 2 shelves to release their larger treat or foot toy to the opening at the bottom. The Small Birdy Plunk hangs from a length of nickel plated chain with a pear clip at the top.
A Mini Feather Weight foraging foot toy is pictured in use and can be purchased separately for small seeds to go inside. Or you can use a nut or smaller treat wrapped in paper as the treat or a 2cm Vine Ball (foraging foot toy) with food inside.

Holy Gumballs0 out of 5$19.70
Holy Gumballs! Is a small to medium sized toy with lots of fun things happening! There’s so many colours and textures for your bird to explore and so many places you could hide food treats to encourage foraging behaviour too. With lots of rolled paper sticks poking out of the piece of timber in the middle (these are all coloured with food safe dyes), plastic flowers, wiffle balls, a nickel-plated bell and 2 mini ‘Feather Weight Stars’, Holy Gumballs will satisfy the tactile and visual needs of your bird.
To add a foraging component, you can wedge thin treats like hulled oats or slivered almond pieces in the mini Feather Weight Stars, you can put dry treats inside the wiffle ball or stick pieces of paper straws in the holes (the paper straws can have treats inside too!) and you can even wedge pieces of food into the rolled paper sticks for your bird to retrieve. The last 2 photos show examples of this.
This toy measures roughly 24cm long (including pear clip and bell) and 17cm wide, it suits most small to medium parrots.
Four Corners Carousel (Spinning)0 out of 5$39.80
This toy is great for feeding your birds’ dry food and treats. Fill the compartments with a foraging substrate to make the treats harder to get to.
The spinning carousel has 4 compartments with lids that open different ways. The whole toy spins on an axis and has perching areas in between for ease of use. A great way to make this toy even more interesting and add some challenge for your bird, is to use foraging foot toys inside the compartments. Items like Mini and Small Feather Weights, 2cm Vine Balls and small Yucca Pieces work well in the Carousel.
It is made from tough polycarbonate and is sturdy. However, due to the nature of one of the lids, it is possible for larger or destructive birds to remove the lid from the ‘corner swivel lid’ in particular. The toy can be used by (and is great for) Alexandrines, Galahs, Corellas, Cockatoos, Eclectus Parrots, African Greys etc however, please be aware that they MAY break this lid off. Smaller parrots generally don’t do this.
Barrel of Fun0 out of 5$16.80
This is a fun little puzzle toy for your parrot to explore and find treats in.
To use this foraging toy, your bird needs to turn the inner shaft of the toy using the forked handle at the front. The barrel can lock in either direction and only by turning the shaft to the central position, will it slide out to reveal the treat opening.
This toy is made from tough, polycarbonate and will hold up against even the tougher beaks. The barrel itself is 4 x 7cm when closed and hangs from a chain with small quick link, totaling 28cm long.
Small Baffle Cage5.00 out of 5$38.00
This is a high quality, sturdy foraging design that is great for all breeds of birds. Fill it with your bird’s fruits and vegetables as well as foot toys, blocks of wood, pinecones and banksia pods.
Your bird will need to reach through the gaps in the bars to access their rewards. You could make this harder by wrapping everything inside the toy with paper for them to chew open or lining the baffle cage with cardboard once your parrot has mastered it.
This toy is 100% stainless steel and measures 10 x 10cm across, while hanging just over 20cm tall from a chain with quick link attachment. It has a 1.8cm space between each of the bars.
Natural Budgie Ladder – 25cm0 out of 5$22.00
Natural ladders that are handmade, for each order.
Each rung of the ladder will be a piece of branch from a native tree, with lots of bark for your small birds’ feet and nails. Ladder rungs are roughly 7cm across and an appropriate thickness for a Budgie. Lining the side is a seasonal mix of Australian Gumnuts, Casuarina and Liquid Amber pods plus native branch pieces, balsa bricks, vine balls/rings, birdy bagels, yucca pieces, woven leaf shredding strips and finger trap pieces, threaded onto stainless steel wire.
I make a loop on each of the 4 ends. You can then attach a pear clip or other hanging link to each end (hanging links purchased separately and available on this site). I can put alternative ends on the ladder like a hook shape, though please be careful to assess how the hook sits in your birds’ area to ensure it is safe. See the last couple of photos which show these options.
These natural toys are handmade and the seed pods are seasonally available. Therefore, every toy does differ and contains a mix of dry/open and green/closed seed pods. Please contact me before purchase if you have specific wishes or want to check availability of certain seed pods.
These ladders do take a bit of time for me to make and I do this in addition to my job as a vet nurse. I also prefer to use fresh seed pods that I collect once I have an order, so please allow up to 1 – 2 weeks for your order to be made (though some can be made in a matter of days). Feel free to contact me before placing an order to check availability.
Contact via my Facebook Page or email to email@example.com is preferred.
