A large bag of these healthy, organic pellets formulated for large Parrots. ‘Coarse’ is the largest pellet in the range and ‘Lifetime’ refers to a low-energy maintenance diet, suitable for most birds long-term. Some more-active birds may benefit from the High-Potency variety instead. This is the original, plain pellet, though the pepper variety is also available in this size.

Feeding Harrison’s nuggets will help your bird live a longer, healthier and happier life. ADULT LIFETIME COARSE is a year-round maintenance formula for healthy, non-breeding, non-molting birds including pionus, Amazons, cockatoos, macaws and other medium to large parrots and may be offered after a bird has completed a dietary program of a High Potency formula for a period of 6 months.
Why don’t my Harrison’s nuggets look the same every time?
Harrison’s Bird Foods are made from premium whole grains and whole legumes. We do not incorporate artificial processing, nor do we use any bleached or dyed flours, meals or by products to cover up the natural characteristics of the grains. Only highly processed foods can yield a perfectly uniform appearance every time.
Coarse Pellet Statement
The coarser particle size is intentional and designed to support proper ventriculus (gizzard) function by encouraging natural chewing and grinding. Some crumbling is unavoidable with a coarse grind; however, we prioritize nutritional integrity and health benefits over cosmetic uniformity of the nuggets.

Storage and Shelf Life
Harrison’s is committed to protecting your bird from artificial preservatives. Here are some suggestions to keep your food fresh without preservatives:
- Squeeze all air out of the bag and zip it shut at the top.
- If the zip lock gets removed or damaged, fold the top over several times and close with a clip.
- Keep food in original bag. Do not repackage into plastic bags or containers.
- Use contents within 12 weeks of opening bag.
- Purchase Harrison’s foods only in their original packaging.
- Refrigeration or freezing after opening may help maintain freshness.
