The growing range of pet enrichment and foraging toys that are available for ‘exotic’ species. This includes Rabbits, Ferrets, Guinea Pigs, Lizards, Rats, Mice and other species. Unfortunately, there’s not a large range of toys that are specifically made to suit these guys, however there are many cat/dog/bird toys that can be suitable.
I did once have an enquiry about a fish foraging toy…that’s something I’m going to work on…
Nina Ottosson Medium Treat Pyramid (Soft)
The Nina Ottosson Medium Treat Pyramid is a fun activity toy to be filled with treats. Suitable for many dog breeds as well as cats and rabbits too!
It wobbles, rocks and throws out pieces of treats when the pet pushes and plays with it.
Made of soft and strong TPE, a material similar to rubber, for quiet play inside the house.
This toy measures 11,6cm H x 8,25cm W.
Let your pet play and work to get the treats out by pushing it with their paws and nose. The Treat Pyramid, which has a weighted base, will rock, twist and wobble back and forth so that treats will fall out through the hole in the top.
The weight in the base helps the Pyramid stand up straight.
Can be used indoors and outdoors.
Fun and activating brain training due to the fact that it has irregular movements.
Ca-Tumbler Cat Foraging Toy
This is a really cool foraging toy for cats. It’s different to the typical treat ball, while also being fairly light and not too difficult for our feline friends.
The orange cat figure appears on each design, you can slide him around to block part of the opening in the side of the toy to adjust the difficulty. Take a look at the video tab to see Num Num learn to use the toy. The normal opening is on the lower part of each toy and it bobs back and forth on its’ weighted base. Each design has a small opening in the top of the toy too, the Sunflower design has the largest opening and food can also come out of this if your keen cat pushes it around far enough!
Kong Cat Food Ball
Place treats inside and watch your cat chase and swat the KONG Treat Ball! Challenging and entertaining, the Treat Ball helps keep cats busy, healthy and happy. This is a cool, little food ball that is fairly simple in design, yet more than you basic, hollow sphere. The ball is slightly oval shaped and has small ‘craters’ on the surface. Inside the food ball there is 2 sections, the inner shaft and the outer shell. Food moves around in these compartments, working their way to the opening for your clever cat to retrieve.
A great treat ball for beginners and pros alike. Check out the video tab to see a litter of kittens playing with theirs.

Kong Gyro Forager (2 Sizes)
We are very excited to announce the new KONG Gyro toy! It is sure to entertain with irresistible roll and flip action that entices and intrigues dogs. The dynamic center spinning orb and static outer ring encourages dogs to push, paw and roll the Gyro, delightfully dispensing tasty treat rewards along the way. Ideal for independent play, stuff with treats or kibble for extended play and meal time.
The 2 halves screw apart for easy filling and cleaning. Available in large and small sizes. The large is suitable for dogs over 10kg and the small is suitable for dogs under 10kg, as well as for Chickens and other small animals like Guinea Pigs.
Tucker Ball Mini
The Aussie Dog Tucker Ball is the tough yellow ball that keeps on giving. Place your dogs’ meal or add dry treats inside to provide self-entertainment for your best friend. As the ball rotates, it will randomly dispense the dry food. There is a marble inside that rattles around when the ball rolls so even once empty, the rattle will continue to provide stimulation.
The mini Tucker Ball is suitable for toy and small breeds of dog. For larger breeds, there are a range of other suitable toys shown on the site.
Snuggle Safe Heat Pad
Feeling the cold? As the temperature cools down, these Snuggle Safe Heat Pads are a great, SAFE way to keep your pets warm. With no electric cords or chewable surfaces, this is the safest way to do it. The Snuggle Safe Heat Pad can be used for cats, dogs, parrots, rabbits and pocket pets.
Microwave for about 8 minutes (see instructions for different microwaves) and it stays warm for nearly 10 hours so it’s great for overnight. The heat pad comes with a fleece cover which can be used with cats, dogs and most pocket pets, though it’s recommended to not have materials in reach of parrots and other pets that like to chew fabric. I choose to not have fabrics near my birds and it works just fine without the cover.
